Do Bravo 3 lower shift cables have the ring gasket?

I am removed my 1997 B3 outdrive to do all the bellows. While removing the helmet, chose to completely extract lower shift cable and mine came out with no gasket ring where it mounts against the inner helmet surface.

Is "no ring gasket" normal for a 1997 Bravo 3 lower shift cable, OK180251?

I ask because I see replacement shift cables for a "generic Bravo" all seem to offer the ring gasket that seals aft end of cable to helmet.

Yes the cable has a fiber type gasket washer that sits on the cable end base before the nut end threads slides into the bell housing then put the nut on to hold… item number 12, (12-8M0214950)

Then there’s an O-ring on the upper drive housing that covers the shift cable hole too, item number 4,

Though rare, the old gasket may have got stuck on/behind the bell housing when you slid the cable towards the bow of the boat or it fell off and wasn’t noticed.
