Do I need a special tool for this

I am replacing my shift cable and bellow. I cut the old one out so I could put a socket on it. Now I need to know how to
Retighten the new cable. It has a long plastic tube on it that the cable feed through. Is there a special tool.
I am having a hard time up loading a photo

Most people just weld a couple of 9/16" sockets together. The lower one being a deepwell.
If your new cable is an OEM cable, that white tube unscrews so you can use any socket. Don't try that on aftermarket cables, you will destroy them.
