Do I need another carb?

I have a 1993 Nissan 3.5hp and bought a rebuild kit for the carb. After taking the carb bowl off noticed that on one side ofpart that holds the float pin hinge was broken off: the part that broke off is nowhere to be found. My question is can I still use this carb or will I have to get another carb. I will try to post some pics.

You need another carburetor if you broke the flange on one side.

I have a 35 Merc which has two hinges. One ear is broken off on one of one the hinges. I've logged over a hundred hours on her so far this season. Needless to say she runs fine.
To be fair, I do have another carb I rebuilt and is awaiting replacement.

Thanks guys for the input. I may have to put this project on the back burner.
A brand new carb would put me way over the budget on this motor.
