Expect it to feel worthless and pointless, but know that it COULD help.<br /><br />Who knows. Maybe he's already been caught on some minor charge, and about to be released. However, YOUR report of attempted robbery could be the key element between letting him go, or locking him up where he belongs.

Well, I went down to the police station this morning. Gave them a vague description of him and that was about it. They weren't interested in any fingerprints or video tape. They said someone was mugged about 1/4 mile from there a week ago and they didn't catch the guy.

Now if that had been in Alaska, where its legal for anyone to carry, you could have put a 357 in his face.

I did have an unloaded .38 revolver stuffed between the seat and the center console. I only load it and carry ammo when I'm camping...

I'm glad you reported it. It may seem like they didn't care, but it will be in the back of their minds. Whenever I am out, there is always someone wanting to report suspicious behavior, especially vehicular activity (drug houses). I guess it depends on the size of town and crime level. My town is quite small so we get pretty interested in people who flash knives, a larger city may place less emphasis on it. Keep an eye out, you may see him again, and if you do call the police and let them know where you saw him.

ya any more the police feel showed up by csi I think. they dont realy seem interested in solving anything , i think we have to many police . we should take away there vests and any kind of defence but a pea shooter that way they would like to see the criminals behind bars ,so they cant get them .........any more the police force is a clean up crew ,, there to do paperwork for insurance etc ........two cops in a car feel safe , its a mental thing .....they never want to look at videos for small near misses or happenings...............................i would say you could have woke up and called the wendys your self , talked with the manager over a cup of coffe or somthing .................but i tried that once ..............i got in a wreck after some one drove out of a drive through and into me ,,, i went back the next day with my mom who works for the state .... i asked if any one saw anything innocently .......the police were there in minnutes ... and we drank coffe with them ..some one from the resturaunt called and said we were asking questions...............long story short if you help someone expect to pay a price...

I live in the Bay Area California and i dont take any chances with wierdo's. Let the PD know ASAP and they will get the info and run a check in case he's on the run or is wanted from the law.
