Do johnson 15 spline omc props work on 85hp merc's from the 80's?

I've got a bunch of johnson props and I need to put a new one on my buddies older Merc engine.

Also what would an ideal prop size be for this 17ft trihull with a 85HP merc be for wakeboarding and general cruising.

I adapted my Merc V6 prop to fit my Johnny 150HPV6 motor. I needed to drill out some of the splines depth, and adapt a Merc thrust washer to fit the Johnny propshaft taper.

The Johnson props would need to have a 4-1/4" hub diameter, and have the same spline count as the Merc propshaft.

I would think a 15-17" pitch prop would be correct for that boat/motor combo.
