My neighbor has a 2001 WR. It stalled and was towed in. It looks like it has minimal motor oil in the block. Would the low oil pressure caused the engine to stall as a safety measure?

No owners manual. He is currently changing the oil, as it is time.
Unfortunately, the guy driving it at the time of the stall did not mention an alarm.

I do not know where the oil leak was. The oil filter was very rusted, but I did not see any oil stains on it. The gasket on the oil filter also did not look like it was leaking.

My house generator will not start if the oil it too low. I was hoping that the WR has something similar.

This is exactly why you check/service any equipment you have over before using for the day.
I hate it when someone says it just quit. Ask if was doin anything unusual and they shrug their shoulders.

That is obviously a good idea. However, the guy driving was the owners grandaughter's boyfriend. He was not read in to that idea.

All the waverunners I know are more cautious PWC people.
All go mostly WOT with music and screaming.
P M is a full wash and clean after most trips in freshwater.
