Do you wash new clothes before wearing?

I just bought two new t-shirts today with witty sayings and pictures on them. Yeh, I know I'm a moron, but I'm a sucker for fishing related t-shirts.

Question in poll: Do you wash your brand new clothing before wearing them?

Shirts I do because sometimes they itch if they havent been beaten around in a wash machine first. Jeans I sometimes just toss on and roll. Never wash my new shoes though, lol.

My always wife does both. Just wash light load or delecate. She always turns the shirts with logo's inside out. That will protect the logo's/rubber/decal or whatever they use to keep them from being damaged. She says well you never know who has handled them or what chemicals are in the material.

i always wash my new clothes.

you dont know who has been trying them on........or how clean they were .

if you have to do some sweating you might end up with some nice stains.........you know bright colors bleed some when new.

and finally to me new clothes stink..............i would rather smell my own soap..........or better yet hang them outside to dry, that way they get that fresh air smell.

Always. Wash new jeans with old ones. Some times new cloths are alittle stiff.

I grew up as poor as one can be. Hand me downs and second hand stores were where all my clothes came from.
The stiff itchy new clothes feels great to me.

Considering the only time in my clothing's life it is wrinkle free is when I bring it home, never!

I always wash mine...you never know where they have been.
New jeans get washed in hot water with my old faded jeans.It softens them up and makes the old jeans a little darker...

Around here it smells like manure ... time to spread it on the fields!

Sometimes they get washed, and sometimes no ... depends on if they were in plastic or not, if they are dry clean only or not, if they are wrinkled, smelly, itchy, stiff, dirty, or not. Also depends on if there is time or not.

I never do, my wife always does. So I guess it depends on whether I put them on before she gets them to the washer.

my gf washes hers and my new clothes first too.
but then again, our new cloths come from the goodwill store...

if i do get some actual new clothes, they still get washed. myself, i hate stiff and itchy cloths.. washing them helps a little..

You bet my wife does Even "new" clothes may have been taken back. My wife used to have a friend that would buy new clothes, wear them once or twice, then take them back. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure a lot of that still goes on.

After that though...my wife has learned me how to get fours days out of skivvies!

i live in the country!...........we dont get smog and what not around here.........i live in a town that may have 9,000 people in it.

My wife banned me from the washing machine 29 years ago so I will guess no.Maybe I should check to see if I have a washing machine
