dockside power

I just plugged my boat into the dockside power recepatcle at my marina. On the breaker panel I have a green light which says power and a red light which says reverse cycle. My manual says the green light should come on when plugging in and if the red light comes on, call the marina and do not access the current. All very logical. I left the boat for a few hours and when I returned the greeen light was out. A volt meter next to the breakers indicated 125 volts of power on board. Should the green light stay on all the time when one is plugged in or is it normal to come on only at the onset? My boat is a SeaRay 240 Sundancer. Does anyone have this boat?
Thanks,
RK

Re: dockside power

I don't have a SeaRay but I do have shore power and my green light stays on all of the time I am connected to the power tower. Did you check to see if the bulb was tight on your indicator, or if it had blown? Were you breaker switches still on? If they were chances are it was just a lose connection or bad bulb. If they tripped you need to have the shore power tower checked out.

I don't think the breakers tripped, but I'll check more carefully in the AM. I'll also try to check out the bulb if it is readily accessibile. Thanks.

It looks like the bulb is blown. I checked with the SeaRay dealer who confirmed the light should be on whenever you are plugged into dockside power. The bought does have AC current as evidenced by the voltmeter and the 120 V household receptacles on board. Thanks for your help.
