Doe?s 1981 Islander have poured in foam? How 4?x8? pieces of pink home depo syrofoam will be needed to refoam just outside of middle stringers for A 21? boat.

can a 5.0 mercruiser I/O be Easley swapped for the current 4 banger?

1981 should have poured foam, Pink foam would depend on what thickness you want to use but probably 2-3 sheets of 1.5" A 5.0 could be swapped,but I don't think I would call it easy, motor mount stringers will have to be built, due to the fact the V engine mounts on the sides of the block and the 4 cyl mounts on the front. It can be done as both Watermann and Jasoutside have a Chieftain and an Islander respectively

OK 3 sheets of foam how much easier if any would a 4.3 mercursier I/O be? I'm thinking just as hard since it's a V6. I'm thinking either v6/8 will require a bigger engine cover? thanks TB
