I have a constant beeping when tring to start my 91 200hp mercury and it runs poorly with alot of power loss.I took the temp.sensor off and still have beeping and believe warning module bad. Can
anyone tell me if you lose 2 cyl. when module believes there is a high temp. problem. Have Manual and it doen't mention cyls. being disable. Thanks

As far as I know the only engines that have that kind of failsafe are the EFI's and the DFI's.

If you are down on power you probebly did some overheat damage, to the cyls. Or got the head hot enough to damage the sending unit which is keeping the buzzer on.
