degree head? Why would it matter? I am selling one and several people have asked this question. I'm just curious why they would want to know and why it would matter.

Thank you!

The 60 degree heads tend to be lighter and have better idle and running characteristics than the 90 degree heads.

The 60's are called loop charged or loopers from the way the fuel enters the cylinder. Tends to mix the fuel and air better for a better combustion process.

And since there are no by-pass areas or covers and the cylinders are closer to gether, the unit is lighter than the 90's.

Thanks, OBJ.

Which configuration would a '91 90hp have? Would my manual have the info or do I need to try to "eyeball" it?

Thank you!

Yours is a 90 degree Bill. The 60 degree loopers didn't make their appearance till 95' I think.
