Re: does anyone know where I can aquire a trailer lock bar for a 94 force 120?
I built this transom saver and feel they only work good when the motors and boats are boomed to the trailer. Otherwise, the trailer and boat are wearing each other and the motor will bounce off the transom saver. Road trips can be hard on a boat. It only took me a few 250 ? 300 mi trips to see the wear and needs vs being told. I probably boomed across the boat with a strap after the 1st trip. Later I realized the rear booms (2-3) were double safety toward the boat not shifting back. I saw my motor would bounce off the tilt bracket w/o being boomed period at local lakes. Finally, I realized the stress of the motor on a road trip needed to be on the trailer vs the transom.
Bottom Line! I learned to associate with boaters to learn more about the needs and safety. jow
