do outboard motors have a alternater that constantly charges the battery while running, or only maintain at wide open? I have heard both . considering a couple boats, one with a 1988 dt75 {susuki}, and one with 1991 yamaha 175. Thanks, John
Ues some alternators and most stators that do this. They not only charge at full throttle but when running at low idle as well. The voltage regulator or computer stops sending juice to the batt when they dont need it
