Hello everyone,
Question for all of you I have a mid 60's 33hp Evinrude Twin Ski motor I am not sure of the exact year as it has been awhile since I looked at it. The motor is on a 1965 15 foot mirrorcraft aluminum boat. The motor starts and appears to run fine for the limilited time I had it running.
The only time I have had the motor running was in a garbage pail filled with water, I got the motor as low as I could in the barrel. When I ran it I did not see water comming out of the back anywhere which I expected to see. The motor did heat up a bit I only ran it for 1 maybe 2 minutes max as I did not want to blow the thing up so I do not know if it was overheating or not.
Before I look at taking the lower unit off and checking in things.
Is there any way to tell if the water pump is working?
Should I be able to see water comming out of the back of the motor?
Will I need to get the boat in the water and moving to see this?
Thanks in advance for any help.
