Dog Clutch

I was having issues with my lower unit (no neutral), so I disassembled it. Everything looked ok, but in looking at it closer and comparing it to a parts diagram it seems to be missing a spring for the dog clutch inside the prop shaft. My question is how do I get the retaining pin out of the dog clutch so I can put a spring in?

It’s a 70hp Force

Always include year, model, serial# if you have it??
The Force 70 all used the spring pin to hold the dog and had no spring.
