I was wondering how you get your dogs on & off your pontoon.
I see a few ladder extenshions for dogs but was interested to hear from y'all what the best / easyest way is.

I have 3 dogs of different sizes up to 85lbs.

There was a similiar post about 4 or 5 months ago by rentprop1 with a lot of feedback. Check the SEARCH column at the top. We have no issue with our dog. He's less than 10 lbs.

Without thinking a lot about it, I would take one ramp of the pair of pick-up loaders for lawn mowers or ATVs and attach one to the deck and with a float about a foot above the end going into the water make a doggy ramp.

You could fabricate one out of a short single ladder with a plywood center or all sorts of things that would stow easily. Let's face it, trying to wrestle a wet dog onto a deck in water is not the easiest thing to do.

Luck on the doggy ramp

I'm surprised you would have any problems with dogs on a pontoon. They certainly must be easier than the typical runabout. My mother got a pontoon in her 80s so she could get on and off easily same level at normal water level as water went down we used a 2 step rubbermaid stool with a helping hand she did well.At extreme low water she had to step down 8 or 10 inches to the top of the stool.Dogs are pretty agile usually maybe they could use the stool. We had 2 stools so they could be handy at either side they stacked so took up less room when not in use.

Its not a problem at the dock.

I was talking about them swimming it hard to get an 85lb wet dog up out of the water onto the deck.
