New to boating.
Considering the following two boats, I appreciate any feedback. Will be using for lakes and the Nor cal delta. Water activities, fishing, and just cruising with my wife and baby.
94 Donzi Medallion 212. Mercruiser 5.0, 500 hrs, $7k
88 sea ray bow rider 18, 4.3 merc, $2800
I have tried to find good feedback on the donzi but can't find much of any. The donzi is in average shape and the motor and out drive are very clean and run well. I like the size and the solid fiberglass. Size is great and I know will burn more gas but not a big deal. Needs a Bimini top bit the interior is nice.
Sea ray is smaller and lighter but is it adequate? It has a wakeboard tower, newer outdrive, and in pretty nice shape. My concern is the wood.
I'm wondering if the donzi is worth it at 7k? Or is the sea ray a better starter boat?
