Ok, I know you have seen them out there.
Mostly on mail carriers.
This white looking paper or whatever it's made out of that protects the outside of thier car door.
What is this stuff?
Most I have seen is white in color.

Re: Door protector

Would it be like that white wrap you see on the hoods and doors of new cars when they are transported?

Re: Door protector

Spinner I think you're talking about truck shields. You see them a lot in camo but they offer them in regular body colors, too. After you click the link you might have to sack it ;). Although it is a review and not technically a commercial site so I wasn't sure if I could post the direct link or not . I don't care one way or the other but do try to respect the rules...:)

www.xpel.com I haven't used it but Truckin' advertised it to a few people looking to protect their custom vehicles.

Re: Door protector

I asked my bother one time what that stuff was. He has been a rural route carrier for the past 22 years now. He told me that it is a magnetic sheet like that of magnetic fridge magnets. The carriers around here get theirs at a local sign company. The stuff is also used to make signs for truck doors that can be removed and reapplied. It is mostly white due to that it hasn't been printed/painted on.

Don't use static type stickers. They are not thick enough to protect from the doors of the larger mail box latches. Hopefully this helps you Spinner..........SS
