I have a double axle aluminum trailer that I use to tow my 20' boat. When I make turns it appears as if the wheels flex. Is this normal? Has anyone else noticed this with their trailers? Thanks for your help.

Yep. perfectly normal. You should see my wheels flex when I turn on my trailer. Boat and trailer are 6300 pounds. I thought about putting alluminum wheels on my trailer, but then I realized that instead of the wheels flexing, that it would flex the hub of the axle instead.

Normally, the tires do most of the flexing. Aluminum is fine, as is steel. The tires will lose grip and slide before anything happens to the trailer unless the trailer is in poor shape.
