Downriggers on a 13' Livingston

I'm going to put a couple downriggers on my little fiberglass boat. I haven't decided if I should get a mount that clamps on the side of the hull or surface mount. I'm a newish fisherman and haven't seen a downrigger setup on a little boat like this before. Any body want to make a recommendation?

Some photos of the boat would help us out making recommendations.

One common method is to bolt a board across the stern from one gunwale to the other.

This allows you to surface mount the riggers to the board and the whole works is removable when needed.
