I know I have a DP D1 by the serial number 3868022, is this different or the same as a DP280 or 290...what if any is the difference?

Yes, they are physically and visibly different. Same basic design and construction, but different. No, parts are not interchangeable if that is what you are getting at.

Thank you for the reply, I assume then that the D1 is an older version of the Duo Prop.
Mine is connected to a 22 foot open bow with a 7.4gl motor... haven't had any problems with it in the 3 years I have owned this boat, but the Volvo manuals I got with the boat are for the 280/290 so I was just wondering if they were the same or not..
The anode that is attached in front of the front prop has come completly loose, apparently the screws came out, can I run it with it loose? I know the props have not been off in the 3 years I have owned this boat and reading horror stories on trying to get them off I think I have my holiday weekend cut out for me.
