DP-? Large hinge pin?

I have a Volvo Penta DP-A and a DP-B1 out drives, both have the small diameter hinge pins, many people call them "small pin",, When did VP switch to the "large pin", larger diameter hinge pins? I heard it was DP-C, but I want to confirm .

Yes, it was on the SP-C / DP-C drive that the modifications took place.
