I have a DP-SM 1.95 drive. I just changed the gear oil. The manual I have says to pump in from the bottom, until the oil comes out the level hole. Then it is full. But...it also says the oil level should register to the top of the flattened part of the dipstick. When the oil comes out the level hole, it reads about 1/2" down on the dipstick. Manuel also says it will take 2.5 quarts. It took 2 and started coming out the level hole. I am wondering if anyone knows if the gear oil should be up on the dipstick, or level with the level hole, and also if 2 quarts is really what the drive holds. I am guessing it is like the engine. Manuel says 6 quarts, it takes 5. (5.0 Gxi-B) Thanks for the help!!
