Removed & replaces props on many outboards & Merc Alpha drives ...but Never had a DuoProp,
New boat has Volvo 280-C DuoProp.
which if my terminology is right is a DPS drive with F-series props.

Anybody have a link to details for this ? (Or video) ... Volvo book just says use maintenance manual.

Had found that and others on YouTube search, that is not the props fitted though ... different fitting. I have F-Series props, no cone for example.

Having trouble finding yours, maybe Scott Danforth has an idea
Have been able to find a break down in parts section but not your drive. Might have better luck with the drive serial number?

the 280 and 290 drives would use A, B, C or J series props with a cone

F series are for the DPS line of drives.

https://www.volvopenta.com/content/...r-owners/parts/propellers/Propeller Guide.pdf

on a typical 280/290 DP-A, thru DP-H (Aquamatic line of drives)

use a 1/2" or 13mm socket and remove the prop cone
shove a section of 2x4 between the outer prop and drive
shove a screwdriver in the hole in the cone and remove the cone
pull the outer prop off
remove the line cutter
open the tabs on the nut retaining washer
shove the section of 2x4 between the inner prop and drive
either use a hammer and drift or a large channel lock to remove the prop nut
pull the prop
remove the spacer (or the inner line cutter if you have old hardware)

Hi Scott, it's not a 280 or 290 drive - there is no cone, its DPS duoprop drive.

I have a Volvo V6-280-C-N with DPS drive the duprops fitted are F-Series

Drive model 22491358 ser. A1098965
Engine is model 40869834 ser A1101422
