have two holes in the back of this fiberglass boat, one is obviously a drain, and the other PVC one is connected to the hoses going to the live wells.

I don't see anyway to plug the bottom hole as the rear casting deck covers it completely. So what keeps the boat from taking on water all the time?

The PVC "hole" has a male thread on it like a a water hose has.

I've also included images of the live well connections and the bilge pump area (sorry, I'm not sure what that is called...)

Any and all advice, tips, suggestions welcomed!!!

Thanks,

Doug

Install an expandable plug from the outside.

You must have a hole in you live wells to drain them? Thats where you put the plug if i'm understanding the question, The holes in your boat allow water in & also out to drain the livewells - The plugs only keep water from filling your livewell untill you want it in-

Water cannot run uphill unless the entry to the live well is below the water line. This is beyond a doubt, a poor attempt at plumbing this system. There are three hoses in the second to last picture but only two connections on the live well. One is obviously the fill and other is the overflow. Where does the hose in the "T" (the one that goes to the left) go to or come from. Somewhere in this system is a pump (not the bilge pump). Normally the transom fitting is the inlet to the livewell pump. But why it has a "T" in it is a mystery.
