drain lower unit on mer 50

I am a newbee and I was looking to change the fluid on my 1980 era 50 hp outboard.

Their seems to only be a vent hole and no drain hole.
My understanding is you open the vent and drain hole, drain old fluid, fill twith new fluid till it starts to spill out vent hole.

Where is the dard drain hole???

drain/fill hole looks exactly the same and is on the bottom of the lower unit to the same side as the vent, in the curve of the bottom. screw in a lube pump and fill till it come out vent
