Drain plug installation on rowboat

Hey all, I recently restored a Appleby MFG 12' aluminum rowboat with a 70's sears 5hp. Pretty feeble set up but it gets me out there fishing. I want to install a drain plug, looking for any good info regarding this modification. Seems simple enough I suppose.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Drill it, seal it, screw it down.
