I have a bass boat that I am restoring and the seats sit in a slanted area with I am assuming what was a live well.
my problem is you fasten the seats in on hinges and when it rains you got around 2 inches of water in the hole where the seat sits.
Since my live well is in between the seats would it be feasible to put a drain in the bottom and plumb it into the drain for the live well. That way I wouldn't have to soak this water up when i lay the seats back.

Any way you can drain water from where you don't want it is a good thing to me. Is there any way you could run drain tubes into the bilge? Or maybe you can just cover it so the rain never gets in? I use a cheapie $50 Walmart cover with two poles to cover and create a tenting effect on my boat, and have small weights hanging off each side of the cover to keep it tight, and the rain just sheeds right off. I would rather go through the bother of uncovering when I want to use it rather than get water in the boat.

I had thought of that jason and yes I can plumb it straight to the bilge.
but sometimes it rains a bunch while on the water and being I am as lazy as I am I was looking at an easier way to do it.

Thanks for the reply
