I know i asked this before but upon furthur investigation i have discovered a couple things.I have a 2004 Bayliner 205 with 305 engine. So i found the PS cooler. just a tube inline with water tube a pipe from that to PS cylinder.I pulled all plugs in engine for winterizing and removed hose on end of cooler. My question is did i get the water out of cylinder too by doing that? There aren't any other drain plugs near or on cylinder. Thanks

Re: Draining PS Cooler

There isn't any water in the PS cylinder, only PS fluid. The only water is in the PS Cooler.

So that pipe that goes from PS cooler to PS cylinder carries PS fluid to cooler to get cooled?Just trying to understand the system a little better.

It's a hose, not a pipe, and yes it only carries PS fluid, the cooler is what does the cooling. There is a hollow coil inside the cooler that the water passes over. That is what does the cooling.
