Drive Couplin Problem !!!

Regal 233xl 1992 , just change engine and i did change the star shape (triangle) Drive Couplin to the round type now the Foot is hard to go on , am i doing something Wrong ? here is a picture of one i found somewhere . pls Engine type Chevy 350 , did someone just say doh ?...:)

Ayuh,....... Even though this is the Wrong forum for this question,......

Did you Align the new motor to the Gimbel Bearing when you installed it,..??..??..??....

its not out of lign the spline already enter the the drive couplin the mounts use back from the old engine is the same , i want to know though if that coupler is compatible , and please if you could direct me to the right forum, thanks in advance, if it do need alignment i will do go for the challenge to do it .

If the motor is removed,..... And your's obviously Was,......
Regardless of What nuts,+ bolts you used to put it back together,......

It Needs to be Realigned.........

i want to know though if that coupler is compatible

I donno,..... Probably Not......
A 1992 driveline Should be using the triangular Coupler.....

and please if you could direct me to the right forum,

You should be posting down in the Merc./ Volvo I/O forum where you were posting before,.......
But,......
I'm sure that once 1 of the Mod.s finds this,...... They'll move it there for you.......

Always replace the fiber and "spring washers" under the rear mounts and realign the engine. Heard of folks getting away with no alignment procedure (spline shaft slid in easily) but not many.
