Good evening,
Ive been doing a ton of work on the boat this spring. The engine was replaced along with almost every possible component needed for a 5.7 Gi-E. I replaced the gimbal bearing and bellows and ensured I had solid alignment as shown by even spline marks around the alignment tool. When i run the boat, there is a terrible knock coming from the u-joint while turning. last night i removed the u-joint and could see where the ears of the middle yoke are hitting the drive yoke. I figured it had to be bad bearing in the spiders. I replaced both spiders today and after re-installing the drive I am still getting the same noise. Does anybody have any input or insight on what could be causing this?
