Good evening,

Ive been doing a ton of work on the boat this spring. The engine was replaced along with almost every possible component needed for a 5.7 Gi-E. I replaced the gimbal bearing and bellows and ensured I had solid alignment as shown by even spline marks around the alignment tool. When i run the boat, there is a terrible knock coming from the u-joint while turning. last night i removed the u-joint and could see where the ears of the middle yoke are hitting the drive yoke. I figured it had to be bad bearing in the spiders. I replaced both spiders today and after re-installing the drive I am still getting the same noise. Does anybody have any input or insight on what could be causing this?

Appreciate the response. Yes. The noise is made when turning left and right with the drive trimmed all the way down. The sound gradually goes away as I raise the drive up. It only makes the noise while turning the wheel so that what I replaced the spiders.
