drive oil resivor

I need help! I have a 1995 Mariah Barchetta with an Alpha One Mercruiser 4.3LX. I replaced my oil in my drive and filled the resivor to the black line the next day it would be half full. I looked all over and can not find any drive oil leak. I took the boat out and it ran great! that night i checked the resivor and it was 1/4 full but i still had plenty of oil in my drive. the color of the oil in my drive was good no milky color. Where is the iol going too??? where can the leak be? any ideas??/

Have you checked the line going from the reservoir to the upper unit? If there are no leaks at the outdrive that may me a good place to look. Is is leaking when the boat just sits there? Or when you are running it, that would really make a difference. Look in your bilge and look for oil from the reservoir itself, or the hose.

Thanks for the info! It leaks when the boat is just sitting there but after I ran the boat in the water came home filled the resivor and today it was empty? Yes, there is oil in the bilge pump area but it's not blue it is a dark color.
