How long are you going to have it off?

I had mine off all winter so I sprayed everything down with WD-40 and taped a heavy duty garbage bag around it...

Mine will be off for about 8 months. Eric that would work perfect but they are discontinued and sold out. I guess Ill tape a heavy bag or poly around the housing.

All depends on what drive you have; you never told us and it's not in your profile; :confused:

one of the models is discontinued-Bravo Drives;
Alpha models are still in stock as well as OMC Cobra

you can make one either from plexi or plywood if you have Bravo. There was a recent thread with pictures of homemade covers.

yep, on pp2 of this thread is a pic of my home made plexiglass bellhousing cover. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=441921

not much to making it... copy the gasket + use a jig saw and a drill bit or two and cut it out. + a plastic bottle and some glue for the shift slide... mines a mc-1 drive.
