Drive Shaft Seal Removal

I have a 1978 Evinrude 25hp and am changing the lower unit seals (I had water mixing with my gear lube). I am stuck on removing the drive shaft seal. Any ideas? I was able to get the shift shaft bushing out alright, but now I'm at a dead end with the drive shaft seal. Thanks

You'll need a seal puller to do the job right - a hook-like tool with a handle which is available at any auto parts store for about $10-12. The tool should be used with care so as not to burr the bushing which holds the seal. The seal will be destroyed when you remove it.
