Drive shower problems !!!

ok, so mainly for cosmetic reasons, I fitted a drive shower to my Alpha one gen 2. Looks great and all pleased with myself....until I went on the first outing the other week.
The drive shower seems to work a treat and is very effective....problem is that it’s just as effective at showering the back seats too !
its the pick up pipes either side of the drive that are to blame. Happens at certain trim and revs. Right at my cruising trim and revs. That’s the worst bit. I need to be doing around 40mph or above to get it to stop. So annoying. Either going to remove it or try and bend the pick up pipes...likely rendering them less effective or not effective at all.
Anyone else have this problem ? I think it’s a summit drive shower, for those who want to see it on YouTube.

I’m trying that tomorrow Scott. Tried it initially, but will need heat.
Will likely make it just an ornament in the end.

I Have the same drive shower on the same drive. I don't get spray in the boat but it certainly does get the whole back of the boat wet, a bit more so than without the dive.
But, it's keeping the mineral scale from forming and keeping the drive cool so I'm good with it.

Hi
do you have a bathing platform or similar ? I don’t so the drive is fully visible looking over the stern.
Really annoyed with it. Going to try bending the pick up pipes this weekend.

Ayuh,..... Can ya tilt the drive, 'n get to the wet end of the shower, without dunkin' a 4.5" angle grinder,..??

Tunin' the pick-up with a grinder, to reduce it's intake, yet leavin' enough of it to work, without the spray into the boat,..??.....

Bondo. I like your thinking. I can easily take the boat out the water.
I really should probably get the go pro and video what is exactly happening, so I can trim the intake pipes to suit. It’s defo them that are throwing the water up and over.
I’ll let you know what the plan is after a bit of info gathering with the go pro.
Thanks for the advice. Appreciated

Bondo...without filming it to see...one might think that if I cut a wedge at a 45o angle off the intake scoops, from bottom edge to top...it might make a cleaner progress through the water ?
Im pretty sure when the boat is on occasion running fast and trimmed up the scoops are not even in the water. Just by knowing that the prop is surfacing and the line of the drive plate is well out the water in such conditions. It’s just when at the cruising speed (the speed the boat is most often at) of around 25-27mph it throws a hell of a shower over the transom.

You could try giving the boys at Simmerek (sp) a call and see what they would recommend doing.

Thanks for this. Emailed them earlier. I can’t be alone on this one surely. Maybe in the minority because I don’t have a swim platform over the drive though.
