I took my boat out again today, or should I say "my raft." I decided to let it idle at the dock for about 15 minutes as a test. Sure enough, it died. I was able to restart it immediately but it died after a few more minutes. When I tried to restart it, it acted like the battery was dead. I switched out batteries but it still acted like no juice. So I gave up.
I dropped it off at the shop and asked them to service the outdrive as well, while it was there. All the wiring checks out. No overheating. I'm gonna need that picture of Johnny with the envelope to figure it out. It's out of my amateur league. I'll let you know what it was in a week or so.
The good news is that fired up on the first turn and purred like a kitten.
George

Well now you will only burn up a few "C-notes" instead of a boat load. :D

I still wonder if you have a hydrolock condition. Hope all goes well.
