Dropping stuff below the deck during a restore?

Tell me I'm not the only one who has had this happen. I've dropped a stainless steel bolt and an aluminum mandrel down the crack between the deck and the hull so far. It's really annoying me. I don't really want to drill out the rivets and remove and reinstall the entire deck again, but it's bugging me. Should I worry about galvanic corrosion or the stuff promoting rust through the hull? Do I just ignore it?

stainless and alum won't rust.
Throw an old T shirt over the gap where you work.

You can't tip the hull and get a better shot at grabbing it?

Well..... you are doomed! Every time you drive that boat over a bump you will hear that rattle!!! BUT...... do not worry.... during the life of the boat I am sure "other things" will join that bolt and mandrel! It is interesting to see what you find below decking...... like treasure hunting under a boardwalk!!

I'm right there with ya. I made such a point of keeping it clean down there as I did the deck. Now I'm forever dropping stuff and dirt down there. Fortunately I just installed my side panels yesterday so I should be about done with that problem.
