Dry Stacking an outboard?

I've heard of guys dry stacking (exhaust) an outbaord and was just curious as to what this does? What gains do you get from it and how is it done?<br /><br />Thanks:<br />Jason

One question about the article that JSRE did. The 3/8" fuel hose he had on the outside of the tuner, where do they hook up at?<br /><br />Jason
