Hi, been having a few problems with my 1990 DT with engine revs cutting out and have just about replaced all possible causes inc t.stat, oil flow sensor, water float switch, fuel pump diaphram and plugs. From the advice I have received on the forum the only other possibilitites are the oil float switch in the oil tank or possibly the CDi. I have carried out resistance tests on the float switch as per Suzuki manual and it seems fine apart from returning intermittant bvalue on the bottom float. Can I disconnect / unplug the float switch and still use the engine (and obviously check my oil frequently) or will this send the wrong signals to the CDi..( I am being a little frugal as the float switch is v expensive in GB):)

Cheers for any help

I do a lot of Suzuki's and if my memory serves you can disconnect it and the motor should still run.

I departed UK over 30yrs ago but can still remember the rotten climate.
Let me know how you go with the problem. Have five Suzuki's in my shop right now. Run a DT140 on my classic 17ft BR Mark twain. Great rig.
