DT 8501-581180 - What Year?

Looking at the Brownspoint. com site to determine the year but find there are two that could be my motor - a 1985 and a 1995 - need some help figuring out which is mine.

Brownspoint says:

1985 Starting Serial Number is: 08501-512598 DT 85TCLF

Then, a mere 10 rows below that listing Brownspoint says:

1995 Starting Serial Number is: 08501-581001 DT 85TCLS

The motor cover is smoke gray if that helps.

In that case congratulations you have a 1995 model .... the motors are all the same over all the years, just the cowlings that changed colour .... enjoy
