dt115 dies after idle down

i have a 1985 r 86 not sure but after starting with idle turned to fast it will idle up for a couple minutes then return to slow idle and after 15 to 20 seconds it dies. sounds just like you turned the key off. starts right back up and goes thru the process again, dies and retarts with no problem. just can't get it to idle without dying.

Could be dirty carb or worn fuel pump.
(try squeezing the bulb at idle)
For the first several seconds the motor timing is advanced to help warm-up. After that the there might not be enough fuel flow to keep idling.
