Hello all, Newbie here,

I did a search for the problem, but could not find a thread that was close, so here goes the symptom description ...

I have a 1987 Suzuki DT150 installed on a '72 Mako 22' CC. I have been working on the hull (painting) and steering, so the motor has not been run for ~ 1 year. When I put the boat back in the water and started the motor , the alarm would not go off and the engine seems to be limited in RPM. I checked both the water and oil flow sensors by disconnecting them temporarily. So far, the alarm keeps on sounding. Any ideas.

Re: DT150 Alarm

BUMP ... I also forgot to mention that I tried to hit the alarm reset button, but it also had no effect. Are there any good diagrams of the alarm system, or at least a theory of operation? Thanks Again.

Re: DT150 Alarm

I found the schematic in my Clymers manual and was able to test the reset button and it checked out OK. Interestingly the alarm stopped going off shortly there after. The only thing I could think of is that in the process of messing with all of the sensors and such I bumped something and made the alarm stop going off. After rebuilding all of the Carbs the engine ran great. NOW THE ALARM IS GOING OFF AGAIN. AHHHHHHHHHH. Please help.
