DT200 dies under load

I have a '87 dt200 that fires up great and idles well. When in gear it will only idle. When I push the throttle past idle it just dies out. In neutral it will rev up fine. Any suggestions?

It sounds like carbs, or fuel pump diaphrams. How long has this been happening, & what was going on w/ the engine leading up to the problem? Fuel pumps are not too hard to rebuild, but watch how they come apart, it's been a while since I dit a 200 zucinni, but if I remember right there were arrows on the pump, to help you put it back together correctly. One more thing, does the fuel ball remain firm when running?
