Dt225 Ptt

I have a Suzuki DT225 and I have a problem with the PTT. The engine will go up by power tilt but not down. Is it a PTT pump motor problem or a solenoid problem??

My crystal ball tells me that:

you are going to have to test to make sure.

Could be solenoid, bad connection (Corrosion), bad ground, motor brushes, etc.

As above. A manual would be handy. What year?

Looks like most of these (1990 to 2003) use 2 interchangable relays for PTT.

Try switching them around to see if the problem follows the relay

I have a 1993 225 EFI, I had my harness burn inside of the case on the button side, resulting in the same thing. The harness runs under the power head, so its a pain to find. There are 2 wires going to the button.
Good luck, I still am having fuse blowing issues with mine.
