DT4LF 1985 Correct Gas/Oil mix

I've been working on the little motor for a while. Ran hot and replaced impeller but had to put new rings in because a loss of compression. She's going now and I've always run her on 50 to 1 ratio. After having this for several years I just noticed there was a metal sticker on the base of the motor. (Where the motor bolts to). It was a sign of a gas can 100 @ 1 Oil drip. It was amazed I had never seen it before. You could tell it meant 100 to 1 ratio. I changed it up to around 80 to 1 and it ran better.

Could someone tell me if this is correct? I've never heard of a 2 stroke at 100 to 1 and I don't want to burn it up.
