Hi ... have an '87 model DT55 that will start and idle fine, then runs fine, up on plane, full throttle. All of a sudden it will cut back to slow trolling speed without touching anything. This year we rebuilt fuel pump, in past year have rebuilt and adjusted all 3 carbs, put in new plugs, cleaned fuel filter several times, put new primer bulb and gas line in, and have had it to a mechanic several times. No one can get it to do what it does when we go fishing, so unable to trouble shoot on the water. We're stymied! JR

Do you have any gauges that will indicate an alarm?
Do you have a buzzer when in alarm? and does it work?

May be overheat, low water level in block, or oil flow alarm coming in

Hi .. found water spraying from bottom cylinder as we turned it over to inject oil into cylinder in prep for winter storage. How can we fix it and what parts do we need?

I'd like to use my brass prop from the Suzuki DT55 on my new used Mercury 50hp 2 stroke. Spline and all else seem to fit fine, and the brass prop has bigger blades but will fit fine. I don't know about locking the nut on the shaft, but think I can drill the shaft to accept a cotter pin to lock the nut. Any other problems I might look for, or am I dreaming about not buying a new prop?
