Dt85 not firing or getting fuel

i have a 1985 dt85 and lately it have been going and starting fine but sometimes it just dies like its not firing or its run out of feul. i have had it serviced and had all fuel lines replaced right too the fuel tank also had timing and spark plugs replaced then you hit a bump and off it goes like a rocket again we even use this boat to ski behind Oh the only thing not standard it the prop is a 15deg instead of 17. can someone PLEASE HELP

I have a Suzuki DT85 and from what I have read its ignition is pretty bulletproof. The fact that you said if you hit a bump its off to the races sounds to me like you have a loose connection somewhere. I would start checking all connections and terminals starting with the ground terminal on the motor and working out from there. I think you have a loose connection or a short (such as a frayed wire) somewhere. You might need to pull the flywheel to check under there, also check under the dash.

this may be a long shot but it is what happened to me exactly ..... i had a loose wire that goes into the coil pack was frayed. Visualy you couldnt see it , it was just inside the pack. Run your engine and give the small wire that leads into the pack a wiggle if idle changes thats it if it doesnt then prey ...... cause i am with mine. ( its never ending).
