Would like to install a double Exciter Coil under the flywheel, the reason is that have 2, and old and a much newer one, the idea is to connect the newer one to the CDI once the older gets shot at sea, need to go asap to terra firme remove the flywheel and lose precious boating fun time doing so. The newer one will be installed where the charging coil used to sit which won't be used at the moment anytime soon.
Is there a polarity to be aware of regarding the auxiliary exciter coil's red cable positioned to the right as long the magnets are doing their homework right.
If the exciter coil is flipped both cables will be positioned to the left will and will need to be extended and re routed following the (red line route) passing rear of the main exciter coil and under the small middle clamp. Or doesn't matter which of both options you choose as long both red and blue cables are properly connected to the CDI electrical entrance ? Ideas, theories ?
