dual helm guage issue

I have a 1976 B2671 Reinell that i am thinking of naming headache lol.

I have completely rewired the entire boat including engine harnesses. Not sure how much history you need but it is a dual engine dual helm boat. the boat was is bad shape and i have been restoring this thing... getting soo close. I pulled almost two 5 gallon buckets of extra wire and broken wire out of the boat before decideing to rewire it. If anyone is interested i guess i should start a resto thread maybe. any case onwards!

Problem: Upper and lower oil pressure gauges not reading the same. With both gauges in parallel of the same sender on the same wire. The lower gauges are out putting expected numbers where as the upper are starting at half way through the gauge and the going up.

What has been done so far: All senders have been replaced with dual helm sierra sending units. all wiring has been replaced. The gauges are the stock gauges, side note i am trying to figure out who made them. ( the gauges have an orange R with what apears to be an a or i inside of it. any ideas?)

I found a resistance chart i will be doing some testing at the upper helm tonight to get actual numbers.

Briefly tired trouble shooting by switching the sender wire from the oil pressure to the water temp to see is the gauge would go half way or start at zero. It started at half way, which would tell me that the problem should lie with in my wiring possibly? But for this to be the case wouldn't that mean that the upper is seeing less resistace then the lower gauge is? If i had a poor ground it would see more resistance causing the gauge to read lower? though if i am not getting full 12-14v at the upper gauge what would be the expected result?

i am stumped because the problem seems to be following the sensor wire when i move it, unfortunaly i cant run it for extended time as i am waiting on two hoses to finish the fresh water cooling system.

Yes i do have water running through the leg the duct tape just aint holding enough water with out it leaking out as it warms up haha....

So after some testing and switching wires around ( i had the wrong wires on the wrong sensors) i am down to one gauge acting funny. cleaned up the terminals. looks like it is still reading off but not as bad i bumped the starter and the gauge dropped to normal level after it sat for a bit it started to climb. i am guessing it is on the fritz. I know it is best to replace it with the same manufature of gauge, but like i said in the first post they are orignal gauges and i have no idea who the maker is. Ill attacth a pic of the gauge but is it possible to mix gauges with out ill results as long as they are the same range?
