Hello to all and thanks for reading. I'm looking for moral support or advice as to wiring my Alumaweld 16' bass boat for fishing and duck hunting. I currently have one dual purpose group 24 cranking battery and two group 27 deep cycles.

For the trolling motor, I'd like to be able to switch between both deep cycles with a 3 way on-off-on 50 amp switch (located on the bow) and run my 12 volt trolling motor. I'm looking to use 6 guage marine wire for this.

For duck season, I use a 12 volt cigarette lighter type accessory plug to power my 2,000,000 candle-power Qbeam. I'd like to add a 3 way on-off-on 10 amp switch at the bow for that so I can go between both deep cycle batteries if needed. I'm looking to use 8 or 10 gauge marine wire for this.

As for nav lights, aerator, depth finder and gas gauge, I'll run those off of one of the deep cycle batteries. The bilge will run off the cranking battery.

I'm also going to install a 4 battery monitoring gauge so I can monitor state of charge for all batteries. All items used on my boat will continue to have proper fuses for them.

For emergency startups, I currently carry set of jumper cables and that seems to work fine for now. I'm considering putting a master switch going between the cranking and one of my deep cycle batteries later on.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

TakeEm
